How to Measure a PDF Drawing Online
The tool works with architectural drawings, measured survey plans, floor plans, scanned drawings and exported PDFs. You do not need to know the original drawing scale before uploading the file.
Upload Your Drawing
Open a PDF, PNG, JPG, JPEG or WEBP file. For multi-page PDFs, select the page you want to measure.
Calibrate the Scale
Enter one known real-world distance in millimetres, click Pick 2 points, then select the matching two points on the drawing.
Measure the Drawing
Use Measure, Area and Level tools to take dimensions directly from the calibrated drawing.
PDF Scale Calibration for Architectural Drawings
PDF drawings are often resized, printed at a different percentage or exported without a reliable physical page scale. Instead of relying on a stated scale such as 1:50 or 1:100, this tool lets you calibrate the drawing from a known dimension already shown on the plan.
Measure Distances, Areas and Levels
Measure walls, rooms, openings and other lengths on a calibrated drawing.
Trace a room or other closed boundary and calculate its area in square metres.
Set a ±0.00 reference point and compare vertical differences on sections and elevations.
Move around large drawings, use wheel or pinch zoom, and return to the full page with Fit.

PDF Measurement Tool FAQ
Can I measure a PDF drawing online?
Yes. Upload the PDF, choose the required page, calibrate it using a known distance and then use the measurement tools directly in your browser.
How do I set the scale of a PDF plan?
Enter a known real-world dimension in millimetres, select two matching points on the drawing and the tool calculates the scale from that reference.
Can I measure floor plan areas?
Yes. After calibration, use the Area tool to trace a closed room or other boundary and calculate the area in square metres.
Does the tool work with multi-page PDFs?
Yes. After opening a multi-page PDF, use the page selector in the viewer to choose the page you want to calibrate and measure.
Can I measure PNG and JPG drawings?
Yes. PNG, JPG, JPEG and WEBP images can be calibrated and measured using the same workflow as PDF drawings.
